Nurses and Medical Assistants
![]() |
Pediatric nurses and medical assistants have a very complex role. Not only do they assist physicians and administer injections, they are responsible for the initial picture your children will see when visiting the doctors office. A happy, friendly face helps to put your children at ease. |
The nurses with Newport Childrens Medical Group have over 50 years collective experience in pediatric nursing, triage and treating emergencies in both In Patient and Out Patient settings. Our nurses strive to establish relationships of trust with our young patients and their parents in an environment that often involves frightening and sometimes painful situations. Every encounter with a new patient consists of a challenge to gain confidence and cooperation.
RNs often assume the role of educator by instructing parents on administering medications, symptoms for which to be aware, as well as methods of proper care. They also work hard to address parents concerns about their children being treated and regarded as an individual reflected the value parents place on continuity of care.
