Antibody research has been proven to be successful in lessening harsh symptoms that lead to hospitalization. This has been done through the Eli Lilly and Company’s monoclonal antibody combination therapy in nursing homes. According to Eli Lilly and Companies published study, with the 965 participants, the results suggest that the residents randomized to bamlanivimab have up to an 80 percent lower risk of contracting COVID-19 versus residents in the same facility randomized to placebo.
